Stop filling your time with things that don’t matter

Stop filling your time with things that don’t matter

Besides the permanence of death and taxes, there is another constant in life – the time you have (and it will surely pass).

Think about how you feel when you wake up in the morning and open your eyes? Does your pulse quicken and your brain start to go crazy? From the first seconds, you start thinking about all the things you need to get done today. But you’re not sure you’re going to be able to do it all, are you?

Can you imagine a happy, spontaneous and real life that you would find not only exciting, but also the one that would suit you? A time that would allow you to free yourself from your gray routine and enter a daily life full of bright colors and varied events?

Living our own life without taking more part in it causes us to become trapped in our bodies. We have dreams, aspirations, goals, but we do nothing to achieve them. We allow the fear of possible risks of change to paralyze and control our every move. We suppress inner needs by acting on pre-planned, safe schemes.

What to do? How can we change this vicious circle?

Control your fear of change

Often when a person runs away from his fear, he may find that running away is only a shortcut to facing it. If your thoughts about changing jobs, meeting new people or public speaking make you shudder, it’s time to work on your own fears.

You won’t experience something new if you don’t take up a new activity because of your own limitations.

Many people refuse to do anything just because they think that the way to a known scheme is much easier and safer. And that’s partly true. If we follow a path already treaded, we will know exactly where we are coming.

But not accepting challenges because of a growing fear of the unknown will limit our ability to get the most out of life. It will also reduce the time available to experience many fantastic moments. If fear keeps us from doing the things we’d like to do, where will we be next year, five or ten years from now? What will our lives look like?

Overcome your fear of the unknown by turning new situations into something familiar.

Use your time by formatting your thoughts

Have you ever told yourself that “I’m not good enough”, “I’m fat”, or “I’m not smart enough”, or “I’m not going to make it”. I’m sure you have. So, it’s time to stop thinking of yourself in a negative way. It’s time to stop filling your life with things that don’t matter.

Believe in your worth and dignity, in your talent, abilities, and opportunities that lie ahead. Believe in a life full of love, joy, and happiness.

This type of positive thinking in terms of planning for the future has a simple goal. By believing in yourself, you will significantly raise your self-esteem, which will push you forward in difficult times.

However, if after an in-depth analysis you don’t find any potential talents or skills to draw upon, now is the time to find them. Don’t let life slip through your fingers. Start taking an interest in something, start investing in your development. Of course, not everyone has to have a hobby, but everyone should have some skills they can develop.

Surround yourself with the right people

The people with whom you spend most of your time influence in many ways how you think, how you behave, and how you perceive reality around you. If your closest friends are constantly lost in new drama, seeing the world only through the prism of possible misfortune, you also become sensitive to the negative emotions that occasionally arise around you.

If you want to be a happier and more positive person, look for positive and open-minded people who believe in themselves and will believe in you.

Such a relationship will broaden your horizons, give confidence and courage to make further decisions.

Awaken your creativity

Creativity is a powerful tool that helps everyone, from the parent trying to find something new to inspire their children or the small businessman looking for a new direction, to the writer or artist stuck in the black looking for inspiration.

Surround yourself with inspiration, new images, ideas. An environment that can inspire you will facilitate the process of creative thinking.

Seek inspiration and inspire others yourself. Don’t be afraid to act and think creatively as you approach the edge of your inner limits and limitations.
