Have you ever been in a situation where you’re looking at someone’s Instagram photos and you’re thinking: “Wow, what a firm butt and stomach she has! How does she do that?” or “Damn, I wish my life was like the one in the picture”?
There’s nothing wrong in pretty pictures. However, many these insta-bloggers deliberately mislead you by writing: “I’m succeed because doing that”, which is in 97% posts is far from the truth. And that would be seems pretty and funny, but your self-esteem suffers as a result. All of these posts make you jealous, towards to compare yourself to Instagram models, and the score is not in your favor.
When opening the Instagram app, always remember: many of those insta-bloggers whose photos you look at aren’t really as beautiful as they seem, plus they also wish their lives were like what you see in their photos. Yes, yes, they dream about that too, so they just post their dreams.
Ideal pictures in Instagram: how it looks in reality
Kim Britt, 26, is an Instagram blogger. She’s young and beautiful. Perfect background to start writing about weight loss, travel, fitness, making money from home and so on. But she decided not to follow the path of millions woman bloggers, but to show the public the real picture, to show what is hidden behind the perfect pictures on Instagram.

Not only does the girl share her perfect photos, but she also shows more real photos taken during the shooting process. She also talks about the ordinariness and routine behind every such picture. And today I’m offering a glimpse of some of her photos and stories.
The pictures with little puppies are so cute
Yes, they are cute. But let me remind you of one thing. A little puppy is a miracle, but until he learns to go to the bathroom on his walks, you’ll have to clean up puddles and piles all over the house:
These women on Instagram have just perfect skin and makeup
Don’t be misled. It’s all complete hogwash. The makeup in photos on social media has nothing to do with reality:
Makeup + Photoshop (left) vs reality (right).
It’s not news to anyone that makeup, much less photoshop, can work wonders. So don’t compare yourself to the “beauties” of social media. Never!
Travelling by car is great and interesting
I agree, but photos from such trips certainly do not turn out as bright and exciting as it is customary to post on Instagram. The whole point is that 80% of the time you’re on a road trip, you look like you’re in the photo on the right, not on the left:
Oooh, what lovely photos with the dog!
If you look at your Instagram feed, you’ll see that most of the pictures show the owner and his dog frolicking in the warm sunshine.
But life is tough, and when your puppy grows up and stops making “surprises” on the floor of your house, you have to walk him in all kinds of weather. That’s a photo you won’t see on Instagram for sure:
Now let’s go over one of the most popular topics on Instagram.
You should understand that a beautiful butt is not always the result of hard workout. It can be just a good angle or banal photoshop.
You can’t know for sure if the person in front of you is really a fitness model or if it’s just the right pose. If you only know someone from their social media photos, you can never know the truth behind the picture. Since everyone and always on this app is trying to make themselves look only their best.
Even knowing that, you’re going to keep thinking your heel is worse than someone else’s on Instagram, huh?
Photo in a bikini or sports top
This is another popular topic. Meanwhile, 90% of Instagram photos of girls in bikinis look spectacular either because of post-processing or because of the right pose and lighting. Here’s an example from Kim of how a pose can radically change a photo:
A photo without any processing. As you can see, the right pose solves everything!
And another example of how the right angle and lighting transforms a photograph:
So if you do not like something in your photos, just try to pose correctly, rather than blame your appearance.
Meeting the morning with a cup of coffee
But the photos on this topic, to be honest, enrage me the most. No one wakes up super-awake, most people greet the morning sleepy and yawning, more like the photo on the right than on the left.
Show me someone who wakes up with a puppy and a mug of coffee in bed? And even with makeup on!? I’ve never met anyone like that, have you?
Photo with sparklers
Today many insta-bloggers began to post photos with bengal lights, which sparkle beautifully, but… In reality, both sparklers and fireworks are terribly dangerous and hot things that only strive to burn your clothes and hair. That’s why in reality such photos look like the picture on the right and not on the left.
I don’t know about you, but I always dislike the moment of lighting the sparklers. I’m just afraid of fire and things like that.
That’s all. I hope these photos have told you why is it pointless to compare yourself to Instagram.
